Tannehill

We went to Tannehill this past Saturday with Davy, Erin, and Catherine. We had a good time, but we didn't take that many pictures. We did manage to run into some folks with 3 puppies, though. One was a chocolate lab puppy, one was a minature dachschund (spelling?), and one was a shi tzu/chihuahua mix. They were soooo cute! Trevor and Catherine loved them!

This Boy's Had Enough!

These pictures speak for themselves. We went down some trail that's almost a mile long, so I guess all of the bumpin' around made him sleepy...not to mention all of the runnin' he did before we ventured down this trail. It took us almost an hour to get back to the car and he slept the whole time!

Sweet Little Nolan

This is Mr. Nolan. He is the son of my friends, Amy and Galen Wilson. He is 8 weeks old, and the sweetest little thing. It's hard to believe Trevor was this little. He is just precious!

My Little Man...

This boy loves to pick up sticks at the park. Every time I would turn around, he'd have another stick in his hand. What can I say?, he definitely keeps me on my toes!

Fun Times at the Park

Over the past week, Trevor and I have ventured to the park twice. We went to Pleasant Grove park last Sunday, and then North Highlands Park on Monday. We were gonna go today, but we just ran out of time.

Oh So Tired....

Those of you who know my child, know that I usually have to wrestle him to sleep. Well, this afternoon, I laid down with him for his nap, and we slept about 1 hour. He woke up smiling and wanting down, so we got up. I went in the laundry room to fold one of the 7-8 loads I've washed today. I came to the computer to do some blogging, and I heard him singing (I call it singing, but he hums when he sleeps....always). I went in the living room, and there he was snoozing on his palate. Oh well...I'm not complaining, I guess he just didn't get all of his napping finished!

The McWane Center

We met up with Jennifer, Austin and Aiden, Brandi, and Tucker on Tuesday at the McWane center for some fun. Of course the boys found the water the first 5 minutes we were there. My little hoodlum got so wet, we finally had to take off his shirt, because it was dripping wet. Next time, we'll take some extra clothes. I had no idea he would get this wet! We can't wait to have another play day. My little man was pooped afterwards!

Concentration....

Who knew playing in water took so much concentration. He looks just like me in this picture. My mother has a picture of me at the same age, making this EXACT same face. I'll have to post it later!

Uh - Oh!

Running around like a wild man + tripping over momma's tablecloth that I had in my hand = Falling and getting a FAT LIP! I don't know if I like these front teeth coming in. This is the second time we've fallen and busted that top lip in the same week. The one last week was a little worse though. It was actually gushing blood...no pics of that one. It's still heart breaking to watch your baby get hurt, no matter how minor the injury is. He only cried for about 2 minutes, though....he's a big boy!

Someone Found Jett's Bones!

I don't know what it is with my child....he loves to eat dog food and TRY to eat dog bones. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't just leave the dog food in the floor for him to endulge in....but sometimes I forget to put it up. And guess who grabs a handful? GROSS!!! Oh, and he found the dog bones the other day, and decided he would try one. Luckily I caught him, and snatched it out of his mouth....and look at the response I got in the following posts...little terd!

Happy Birthday Da!

Friday was Joe's 29th birthday. One more year to enjoy the 20's I guess. We went and ate at my parents' house last Tuesday, because it was the only time that we were all off of work together. Then Joe, Trevor and I went to the new Japanese restaurant "Yuki" in Hoover on Thursday night. It was great. Happy Birthday Joe...thanks for being the wonderful husband, and most of all, Daddy that you are. We love you very much!!

One Year Check-Up

Well, sorry no pictures again. We haven't exactly been in the mood for pictures here lately. We went to see Dr. Hardwick yesterday for our one year check up. Chunky butt weighed 24lbs 6oz and is 31 1/4 inches tall. What a big boy! He was actually pleasant when the nurse came in with the shots. She walked in, and he let out a big "hey", and waved at her. Little did he know what was in store for him...3 big shots...ooouchh! Poor guy, I didn't think he would ever stop crying. Oh, and not to mention, we have ANOTHER ear infection. I just hung my head. I feel so bad for my little guy. For the past 4-5 weeks, we've been battling these friggin' ear infections. First both ears, then the right, now the left. I mentioned tubes, and Dr. Hardwick wants to give the antibiotics one more try. And plus, winter is almost over, and he said that kids with multiple ear infections tend to do better in the spring and summer. Soooo....here we go with another round of antibiotics (this makes 4 in the past month). He said if this doesn't clear things up, we would definitely revisit our conversation about tubes. Please keep my poor little guy in your prayers...I know it's minor compared to what some of you are going through (and have been through), but it's a big deal to me...and my sanity!

Spring Pictures were a Bust....

Well, we attempted our spring pictures this afternoon with Kim. Someone decided that he didn't want his pictures made. I thought for sure with the bunnies, he would do wonderful. They held his attention for about 2 minutes, if that. He was a holy tyrant...he emabarrassed the stew out of me as well. I've never seen him act the way he did this afternoon. He finally threw himself in the floor (multiple times), and that was it. So, we are re-scheduling for an outdoor session next time. Maybe we'll have better luck. He's not into sitting still these days. And boy, this temper of his is getting way out of control....someone is about to start getting "spank-spanks" until he decides to straighten up!! Oh well, he's just all boy! (Sorry again, Kim!)

Our Day At the Park

It was so beautiful this afternoon, we just had to get outside and go to the park. We had a great time, and I have one pooped child right now.

We ran into Talan and his Mommy at the park today. Trevor said it was nice to talk to someone his size. They are just two little cuties. We talked about one day getting all of these sweet little boys together to play. Maybe when this crazy weather decides to stay warm we can all get our boys together for a play day!

It really wasn't warm enough to get bare-footed and wade in the creek, but Trevor insisted on getting in the water. He loved it...check out the fit he threw when I got him out. That temper of his is pretty bad...hmmm...I don't have a clue where he gets it from!
