Cutie

This was just one of the first pictures I took with my new camera! Yeah! I've been wanting a new camera for the longest time...and I finally went and bought one last night. It's a Canon Power Shot SX100 IS. I'm not a camera wiz at all, but I wanted the most camera for the least amount of money, and this is what it came to. I've always had Canon's so I decided to stay with them. I LOVE this thing. It has all kinds of neat little features on it, that I obviously need to read about!

Enough about the camera. Trevor is feeling much better, and I think he is pretty much back to his "old self". We went to the zoo today, and I think we may go to the water park tomorrow afternoon. I have a dentist appointment that I have kept canceling in the past. I am so horrible about keeping dental appointments. But I decided that I have to go....I don't want my teeth falling out any time soon!! So off to the dentist I will go in the morning....UUUUGGGHH!!!

Yummy!

Since my little man was so good today, he got a little treat when we got home. He endulged in 2 mini-cupcakes. I couldn't pass them up the other day at Publix. I usually don't let him eat a whole bunch of sweets (mainly because he's wild enough without them), but he was well-deserving of them. I think he would've ate the whole box if I'd let him. That might explain why he was WIRED until 10pm as well....

The Zoo

We went to the zoo today with some of our buddies and had a great time. Trevor was really acting out-of-character today. By that, I mean he was actually really good....I was so proud of him. He only threw a couple of tantrums, but that was when I was putting him back in his stroller, and that's understandable. Overall, he was a really good boy today!

Cheese!!!!

Have you ever seen a camel smile?...Yah, me neither! He was so cute. I think he was used to people taking pictures of him. He's the baby...he was in his little cage outside the camel riding area. Except for his aweful stinch, he was adorable!

So Serious....

He's really concentrating on those sheep....

Water!!

This was, of course, the favorite I think. We decided that one of us needs to invest in some water spouts to put in our back yard. The boys were lovin' them!

2 Pooped Kiddos

Need I say more? These 2 were so tired, they were gone before we hit the interstate!

Ear Infection....AGAIN

Well, we have been battling the same stinkin' ear infection for 2 weeks now. The Sunday before we went to the beach, I took him to the doctor, because I knew his ears were bothering him (after your child has experienced 8 ear infections, ya just kinda know). So he was placed on antibiotics (sounds familiar, huh?) for 10 days. Well, the day he got off his antibiotics, he spiked a temp up to 102 something (of course at 5pm that evening). That's where working in the ER comes in handy....my mother brought him to see me, and I had one of our docs look at him. Ears were no better.....so here we go again for another 10 day round of Augmentin. This all took place on Wednesday.

Friday night was probably the worst night Trevor has ever experienced. He screamed from the top of his lungs for an hour and a half. Tylenol...no relief, Motrin....no relief....Auralgan x 2.....no relief. By the way, we still have a fever too. By this time, we were bother hysterical. And needless to say, we got about 2-3 hours of sleep. So, back to the doctor we go Saturday morning. Still, both ears are infected, and we are on yet another antibiotic...Bactrim. The doctor also prescribed him some tylenol with codeine to take at night so he could sleep better.

So last night was much more peaceful. And I feel like a brand new person this morning...I just hope my poor Trevor does. We are supposed to follow up in 10 days to see how those ears are doing. If they aren't clear, we'll discuss tubes. I think we'll be discussing tubes REGARDLESS because I am so frustrated right now. I am OVER ear infections and my child being on antibiotics constantly! Jenny....we'll probably be seeing you soon!... :)

Reception Pictures...

Here's Trevor and Brady Cole playing at the reception. These 2 could defintiely wear each other out!

Kiss the Bride!

I thought this was the sweetest picture. I know that Davy is so happy, and I am so proud and happy for him. For those of you who know him, you know that he is a wonderful person. He is such a caring and giving person, and expects nothing in return. No one deserves the best more than this man. Erin, you are a very lucky woman. You have an amazing husband.

Watchin' Erin

I love this pic of Davy...this is when Erin was walking toward him.

What Wedding?

Here is my child during the ceremony. He did manage a clap at the end, when Davy and Erin were pronounced. He saw everyone else clapping, so he had to clap too!

My Pretty Boy!

Family Pictures

Davy and the Boys

These are a few of Davy's buds that he's been friends with since highschool or before. I'm glad they got to make it!

Me and Rachel

Cute Pics

Trevor and Braden

These stinkers said..."rehearsal....what rehearsal?" These waves are too destracting!

Me and My "Bubba"

Davy looks so happy in all of these pictures. Big Brother, I am so happy for you!

Temper, Temper!

Trevor had ENOUGH of the rehearsal....he was ready for bed!

Flying!

Trevor loved it when Joe and I were throwing him back and forth in the pool. The rougher you play, the harder he laughs!

This is What Life's All About!

Swimmin' with "Ta-Ta"

Trevor started calling Tara "Ta-Ta" this past weekend. It was so cute. He loves him some "Ta-Ta"!!

Beachin' It

I forgot to fore-warn everyone in the last post of my "whiteness"...don't let my skin blind you! Oh, also excuse my right arm...I obviously didn't apply my sunscreen evenly!!
Any way, as you can tell in the top pictures, my child has no fear of water whatsoever, so I had to watch his butt like a hawk the whole time. He would just run and do a belly-flop in the water! He also enjoyed diggin' that big hole in the sand. We sat there forever....just a diggin'!
We just got in tonight from the beach, and I am so exhausted...busy weekend. I just wanted to post a few pictures while Trevor is asleep. I took over 200 pictures, so I will have to finish posting tomorrow!

Beach Bums!

Wednesday, I went and humg out with Rachel, Brady Cole, and Kathy. My poor mother had to go to the doctor that morning because she woke up with a sore throat, and she could barely talk. She had a major sinus infection, but luckily she wasn't contagious! We had a great time, we just wish Mi Mi could've been there to play!

Little Monkey

Somebody thought it would be cute to sit on the glass table. I finally had to take the glass off the table...I could just see him crashing through it and cutting himself all up. (Being an ER nurse makes you imagine sick and twisted things sometimes). So then, the "shell of a table" became a jungle gym for him. Oh well, he's just ALL BOY is all I can say!

On the Way to the Beach

I must recommend traveling at night with a small child on board...you can't go wrong!

Family Gathering

Trevor is really starting to warm up to Braden and Catherine. I was worried at first, because he is so spoiled, he has a hard time with sharing "his turf". He's getting better, though...he only got popped a few times on this particular day. Braden, on the other hand is the sweetest little boy...and he actually knows how to share. I think these 2 stinkers will be getting into everything when they get a little older!

Lake Pictures...

Last weekend we all gathered at Smith Lake for a celebration for Davy and Erin getting married...(kinda like a family-oriented bachelorette/bachelor party). Trevor didn't get to go, because he had a fever between 102-103 all weekend. I took him to the doctor on Sunday morning, and dang-it...if he didn't have another blasted ear infection!! My child and his ears, I swear! We did have a great time, though...I just wish my little man could've been there to enjoy the fun with us.

Playing Catch-Up...

Okay, I feel like I haven't blogged in forever. I have soooo many pictures to post, so bear with me. These are some pictures from one of our many trips to Alabama Adventure. I thought Trevor would flip out with the characters, but he absolutely LOVED them. I can see Disney World in the near future...also, some pictures from Memorial Day weekend...we went swimming at Joe's aunt's house. Of course, Trevor had a blast!

Trevor's Momma

I also found this picture of myself at the same age as Trevor....he kinda favors his momma too, I guess!

Hmmm...Same Expression?

Wonder Who Trevor Looks Like?

UNCLE JAKE! I am at my mother's, and I found these old pictures...it's like I'm looking at Trevor. He acts just like his Uncle Jake, too. So, if anyone is wondering who my child looks like, now you know! Minus the curls, Trevor is Jake made over!

Trying Week....

Whewww....I did not think the past week would ever end. I have worked at Children's ER for the past 4 (almost) years, and I can honestly say that this past work week was the hardest ever. I know that I, along with all of my co-workers, am truly called to do what I do every day.

Most of you may have heard of the 6 year old boy from Pleasant Grove that went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 31st. His precious mother is actually a co-worker of mine. I ask that everyone please lift the Peeks family up in your prayers. Pray for their strength in this horrible time of loss.

I also would like to request prayer for all of my collegues that were working in the ER on this tragic day...including myself. I am still in utter shock and disbelief. But I know that GOD has bigger plans....that's the only way I can do what I do. My husband once asked me, "Staci, why in the world do you do what you do?" "All you see is tragedy after tragedy." Well, that's not true. I see miracles every day as well. And after all of the tragedies that I do come in contact with, it's that one miraculous case that makes my job worth while.
